We've decided to get a convertible and are down to a 2006 or 07 Solara SLE (reliable but a bit boring) or a 2007 9-3 2.0T. With 27800 miles for $18918 ($17000+1666 sales tax+$252 licensing fees. Got to love King County and Washington State). Car has all options except for the navigation system. Dealer also had to fix minor body damage to rear wheel well and a ding on passenger door. Brake pads were replaced by dealer in June. Factory warranty good until December of 2010. Love the ... Hi carman, Hi kyfdx, Need some advice please. I've been looking at a CPO 2006 Silver Saab 9-3 with 35144 miles on it. It has sunroof and premium audio package. The dealer's advertised price is $16995 + tax, fees, and registration. I'm trying to get the price down. He's saying he can't go down lower than $17100 all in, out the door price. Too good to be true

My 2006 93 lease set to expire. Dealer desperate to sell me similar 2009 93. Willing to go as low as 22,500 on $31 MSRP or so and eat my last three payments. I know it makes mathematical sense. The resid value on the lease car is 17,500 or so. Still comes down to "Should I buy a Saab?" Any insights? Thanks. Read More...

Thanks kyfdx. I have suggested to him $16800 all in, out the door price, CPO. If he accepts that price for this model and year, would I be doing good or bad please? I had a 2003 Saab 9-3 linear up until this February with the odometer reading in at about 90,000 miles. I purchased the car for $17k at the end of 2006 with 58,000 miles on the odometer. We have a 2003 9-3 Linear (42k miles) which is really a fun car to drive (my wife particularly loves it). But I've almost had it with maintenance issues. Mechanically the car has performed almost flawlessly, but the lesser issues have begun to kill us. blp1 - I would say that the price is a bit high for that car. If you look around, you can find a 2007-2008 with lower miles for the same price. I came across more than a few 2007-2008 models with anywhere from 8,000 miles to 20,000 miles for $18-$20k.
