try checking the drive axles for run-out or the front shocks for wear or weak springs may be the problem. All of which may not be visible with just a general inspection :D Read More...

Pretty much anything is possible with electronics and vehicles. I don't see an issue with swapping a DVD player for the VCR. They connect the same. you have to be careful with size as the DVD will be smaller. The screen should be a straight swap. You should be able to go to most electronic stores and find a replacement. I am in need of a new screen for my Quest tv/vcr player or can I upgrade with a new player? May be a dvd player? I've changed my radio and I replaced my regulator on my window driver side. I just replaced the A/C compressor in my wife's 2001 Nissan Quest and now I am experiencing the same problem you had with your 1997 Villager, i.e. A/C blowing ice cold air in the rear of the van, outside ambient temp from the front.
