Nissan Murano CVT Transmission
Banging Noise in the rear of my car
I am thankful for these postings. I am calling the dealership tomorrow because I took the car to my mechanic today and he told me it was the transmission. Hopefully they do not give me any problems. The noise just started the other day. And it sounds like something was banging under the back of my car. I was not going at a high speed it was just driving in the neighbor. ... Read More...
Re: Nissan Extended Warranty Letter November 2009 [pur4vida]
Kevin: You know what they say about happy customers? Happy customers tell five friends; unhappy customers tell fifty!!! There is not enough room on this blog/BB to tell you all the problems I have had with my 2003 Murano. Some have been routine with the mileage I have put on the car. The way I was mis-handled by the Cherry Hill, NJ dealership's GM and then lack of response ... Read More...
Nissan Murano Power Seat Problem
Re: Nissan Power Seat Issue [steelflatroll]
my wife has 2005 Murano and I had the same issue. found a replacement gear at http://www.odometergears.com/infiniti.html only $64.00 with shipping, only took me 15 minutes to install and Nissan wanted $800 for a new seat. I had to email odometergears a picture of the gear and they advised the infiniti gear would fit and it did! so it has been two weeks since I replaced ... Read More...
Nissan Murano CVT Transmission
Re: CVT transmission issues [jayrider]
Jayrider, I am not sure if you have been doing your research, like many upset 2003 Murano Owners, but most of these transmissions are failing well before the 100k line. Some have report failures at 25,000 miles, but they were still covered under warrenty. Furthermore, Nissan has indeed changed the transmission in the Murano. the newer models do not have the same ... Nissan Murano Power Seat Problem
Ridiculous
Nissan Murano 2005- seat anchor bracket broken. Dealer charged arm and leg to repair- said it was not covered. One would reasonably assume that the driver's seat would remain attached to the vehicle for the life of the vehicle- right?! How is it possible for NHTSA to find that this is not a safety issue when the driver of the car is in a seat that is no longer attached ... Read More...

Air Bag light won't go off on Nissan Murano
Re: Air Bag light won't go off on 2005 Nissan Murano [gmo]
Try This, I got this from ClubArmada.com It worked for me. Since some of you guys here are new owners I thought I'd save you a trip to the dealer once you start modifing your armada's. I'm not sure what set's it off (other than pulling things apart) but at some point you will likely end up with a flashing airbag sensor light. Here is how to reset it yourself. 1. Turn the ... Nissan Murano CVT Transmission
03 Murano Transmission FAILED
Where do I start? I purchased my used 2003 Nissan Murano in August 2005. It was my first vehicle to purchase on my own. I was so proud. I did a lot of research on the vehicle before purchasing and had no reservations when I finally found a Murano in my price range. I had only minor issues with the vehicle - nothing my trusty warranty didn't cover. Warranty expired several ... Read More...
Nissan Murano Maintenance and Repair
Murano = Proof the Japanese can make a crappy product
Remember, it's not libel if it's true. My 2005 Murano's front wheel bearings went kaput today with the car under 47,000 miles. Covered under warranty; however, I honestly think the Murano is one hunking piece of junk. More rattles than a colicy baby, MPG sucks, and really no versatility. The car has never left the pavement and is driven very gingerly. Also a clamp ... Read More...
Re: 2005 Nissan Murano [gem_tim]
Update! I just got my radio fixed...I think...I have to wait until it is really cold and my Murano is sitting outside for awhile to determine if they really fixed it. They ended up replacing my stereo with a different one from another Murano they had in stock. Keeping my fingers crossed though. As far as the dash rattle I was hearing...they did put some insulate in ... Read More...
