It's been a good vehicle
Vehicle
2004 Nissan Armada SE Off-Road 4WD 4dr SUV (5.6L 8cyl 5A)
Review
After studying all SUVs in this size I selected the Armada, overall best price and design features. It has only had one warranty repair (warped brake rotors). Now at 40,000 miles it still drives very well, no leaks or any other issues have come up. Fuel economy is disappointing, other vehicles I have owned of this size have done much better. I would buy another if fuel economy were improved. A very good well thought out vehicle if you are looking for an SUV in this size.
Favorite Features
Rear seats fold down to make a large FLAT cargo area. Good heating and A/C. All interior controls are easy to use. Vehicle always feel sure footed on snow and ice.
Suggested Improvements
Improve fuel economy. Outside handle on rear liftgate would help with opening and closing. A full-time 4wd system would be nice for winter driving, no drivetrain binding in tight turns. Also an option of a bench type front seat. (available in the Titan).

Objective Review
Vehicle
2004 Nissan Armada SE 4WD 4dr SUV (5.6L 8cyl 5A)
Review
I have owned a 2004 Armada since May, 2004. I drive about 12k miles a year and overall not a bad vehicle. Yes, it does have some electrical problems, but Nissan has never given me a warranty problem. The rotor problem was fixed free of charge. Any vehicle that weighs 3 tons will use fuel, brakes, and tires. The ride is good, internal components are better than other SUVs. For the money, a strong engine, transmission, and room.
Favorite Features
Engine, transmission, internal components.
Suggested Improvements
Better window switches, be able to take off traction control in 4x4 lock.
I love it!!

2004 Nissan Armada LE Rwd 4dr SUV (5.6L 8cyl 5A)
Review
I purchased this vehicle after trading my Infiniti SUV, although a little skeptical, I was instantly impressed. I have been driving it for almost 2 years, I don't hear a rattle. There was a recall issue with the brakes, dealership repaired n/c, no problem. More recently DVD system compartment rattle was also repaired and replaced by dealer. Comfortable seating for extra large adults. Roomy and attractive.
Favorite Features
Seating, overall performance, one touch liftgate, navigation console.
Suggested Improvements
Dash panel a little awkward, heating/air-condition vents, not placed strategically throughout vehicle. Headlights are dim, too dim for a beast this size!

Not bad for the money
Vehicle
2004 Nissan Armada SE Rwd 4dr SUV (5.6L 8cyl 5A)
Review
I now have 55,000 miles on my 04. Overall I have been happy with it. There is absolutely no other sport ute that has the space, power and value for the money today. I usually change my vehicles every 2 years but I will admit I am spoiled with the attributes this vehicle has and I simply cannot see paying over $50k for trucks with fewer features. It does rattle a bit, my seat squeaks at turns, have had 3 brake jobs but you know we also had an 06 ML500 @ $60,000 and it had just as many problems. We got rid of the ML and believe it or not kept the Armada.
Favorite Features
Exterior looks (took a while to take a liking), throaty exhaust, performance, handling and just overall satisfied with the things that really count.
Suggested Improvements
Better quality of interior components.

Great SUV
Vehicle
2004 Nissan Armada SE 4WD 4dr SUV (5.6L 8cyl 5A)
Review
By far the best full size SUV in its class. I compared it with the Expedition, Tahoe, and Sequoia. The Armada won hands down on power, performance, ride, looks, and interior.
Favorite Features
Powerful engine and tranny. Looks very distinctive from the other full size SUV. Very brutish looking.
Suggested Improvements
Better fuel economy but with a powerful engine, I guess it's expected.

Since we have owned this car, there has not been one day that there wasn't something wrong with it. I have 50 plus pages of invoices from warranty repairs. Brakes, rotors, windows, doors, seats, seatbelts, leaks from various places in the engine, exhaust system problems. Its loud and squeaky inside. It's big, spacious and fun but not worth the time in the shop. Not to mention the fact that the dealership and Nissan corporation have been pains to deal with. Seriously, get a suburban.
Favorite Features
Size, seats 8 adults no problem
Suggested Improvements
Better materials inside, better reliabilty, better service from Nissan.

Nissan Early Armada Review
Vehicle
2004 Nissan Armada SE Off-Road 4WD 4dr SUV (5.6L 8cyl 5A)
Review
I have owned a 2004 Armada SE 4wd since May, 2004. For a $40k vehicle, I would think the build quality would have been better. Also, the Armada burns up tires pretty fast, about every 35k miles. Too many times I've had to take it to the dealer for recalls and/or warranty repairs, and recently I have had to battle Nissan to warranty a replacement of my moonroof glass and seal, as it has started leaking like a sieve. Status of this > $1k claim: pending. I really like the styling and interior layout, and the engine is powerful and smooth. However, the amount of time it has to spend in the shop is appalling.
Favorite Features
Interior and exterior styling is nice.
Suggested Improvements
Better reliability and build quality would make this a top-notch vehicle.

I have been very pleased with the overall performance and most important, the safety/durability features this vehical offers. I was recenty rear-ended at a speed estimated 40 MPH. My Armada had minimal damage, however the vehicle that hit me had to be towed away w/significant damage. This is one tough truck!
Favorite Features
Safety and durability features.
Suggested Improvements
None.

HUNK of JUNK
Vehicle
2004 Nissan Armada LE 4WD 4dr SUV (5.6L 8cyl 5A)
Review
Brakes, Rattles, Wheel Alignment, Wind noise front doors just about blow off in the wind, quarterpanel Rust Through, Poor Front Seats Hard as a Rock no Side Support, Electrical Problems, Takes Months to get Parts, Have to Fight to get Warranty I am trying to get the lemon law going. DO NOT BUY ONE OF THESE OR ANY NISSAN JUNK. It spends more time in the shop then on the road. Nissan should be ashamed of themselves.
Favorite Features
The motor and trans great power and performance.
Suggested Improvements
Take the drivetrain and put a someone else's brakes and body on it.
