Hi diva82, I would personally have a tough time purchasing a 2006 Mercedes E350 4Matic or any used car unless it was an incredible value. The used car market is quite soft right now. i am turning in a 2006 E350 and it was a nice car. i missed the sept money factor and now oct is a bit higher. i am looking for a car without the premium package as i don't need NAV at all. this is a quote i got, can anyone tell me where i can negotiate. the money factor and resid can;t be touched of course and i have a low mileage quote based on my last lease. what do you think? ... I know nothing about Mercedes-Benz cars except they're supposed to be well built, extremely reliable, and trouble free. 2002 - 2006 or so are the riskiest years for any used Mercedes product. Just absolutely horrendous quality that Mercedes is only now starting to recover from. Mercedes during that time had more lemon law buybacks than every other luxury car ... Read More...

MB's in general are not reflective of the problems that occur on many of the 2003-4 E class. This was a new model and it was not sorted out ---particularly the electronics. That is one reason I bought a preowned 2005 E320 CDI. Have been driving MB's since 1971 and now own #'s 19 & 20. My wife has a 2007 SLK350. Just bought a used 2006 E350 CPO from an authorized dealer. I was offered the extended warranty that would extend the CPO warranty by 2 years. I was told as long as the warranty was not used I can get a full refund (not a pro-rated refund) minus a $25 processing fee at any time even after the extended warranty runs out. why don't you look at the new M45, I'm not sure you can get any used M45 for $17k but it is a much better car than the 2003 M45. You can't compare them in terms of performance, I own both the 2006 M45 and the 2008 E350, M is a sports car and E is a comfort car, you gotta choose what you want. Read More...

I got cheated by Mercedes, as my E500 2004 developed rust on the undercarraige to a large degree, so much so that the company sent a rep (thief) out to void my warranty. They really owe me about 30 thousand dollars, but now the car is worthless because they voided the warranty. It is so rusted the shocks collapsed and it needs new springs (2000 dollars).
