My daughter drives a 2007 Honda Civic LX Sedan. She needs to replace the tires. The OEM tires have a Speed Rating of H and a Load Rating of 91. Would there be any ill-effects from replacing them with tires with a Speed Rating of T and a Load Rating of 89? I had no idea that unusual tire cupping/feathering/noise on my Civic Hybrid 07 was not unique. I had honda S/B bulletin 08-001, dated April 08, done today under warranty. Thanks for the tip, and I lodged a petition at NHTSA site. But perhaps given my under 12000 mileage, no tire was replaced. My prev. I have seen the correction and I know it is a 2007 Civic and the short answer is "no" there is no device that inhibits ones ability to inadvertently place the transmission into other than D (of course there is a lock-out to prevent insertion into R or P ). Has anyone had problems with their cv joints? I hear a very small clicking sound when I trurn the wheels to the left sharp. I called the dealer service dept. and they said that no one has had any problems with their cv joints and Honda re-engineered the boots back in 2001 so that they would not split out. I have at least four large spots on the roof where the paint is missing and the primer and metal are exposed. The dealership told me that it was probably due to the acid in bird droppings. (Never mind that I wash my car at least once a week. Droppings have always rinsed right off with cold water.) Anyway, my husband has an older VW that sits next to mine. No paint problems ...
