Anyways, I'm still plugging away but it seems like the half dozen dealers that I have talked to here in FL are not giving away too much on the demo 2008 and 2009. Stingy, stingy. I need to keep looking. Ideal would be what the last two have described - a new 2008 xc90 for around 30K or less. Is that too much to ask for??? If anyone can help steer me in the right direction in FL, then please let me know. cheers

good price for a demo 2009? or new 2008?: by ftjmackey on Thu May 07 08:06:39 PDT 2009; Good day all, I've been looking for a couple weeks for a demo new 2008 but havent had the best of luck locating the right car yet. I've read that people are able to acquire new 2008's for under $30K. Is this correct and should I follow suit? I have tracked down a demo 2009 with 5,000 miles on it - the dealer lists it for $35,999. It is a 3.2 FWD, with versatility, convenience and premium pckgs. I made an offer of $30,999. Is that too much? Or a little unreasonable? Any help/ guidance is appreciated as I am trying to find deals like others on here and don't want to leave money on the table. cheers michael in FL PS - also if anyone knows of good dealers in FL that cut nice reasonable deals, please let me know! Re: Volvo XC60 Lease Questions [chipk]: by serdarfl on Wed Apr 22 12:41:50 PDT 2009; US Bank base rate up to 39 months is 0.00224 and between 39 to 48 months is 0.00214. Dealers can mark up this rates but cannot lower them.

Re: questions aout leasing xc60 [baygirl1]: by serdarfl on Wed Apr 15 07:11:05 PDT 2009; 1- Volvo do not let dealers about the upcoming leasing programs in advance as their main goal to sell as many cars as possible to dealerships. If the dealers knew the program in advance they could always tell their customers to hold off if upcoming lease program favors the dealerships. 2- Volvo tweaked the XC90 lease program by releasing additional money($500). Everything stays the same on the XC60. 3- You got a fair price regardless of the economy. This is Volvo dealerships one and only chance to make some profitable deals if they can until the '11 S60. 4- You are right on the car being only residualized up to 43,200. So if the car is 45,000 the 2,000 dollar portion does not residualize and it pretty much becomes 2,000/39= around $50 increase on a 39 month lease. Pretty stupid. But it is not Volvo who sets the residuals. 5-I agree on the aluminium inlay being better looking than the wood. Have fun with the car!

In South Florida, US Bank is the only other bank that do leases for Volvo. 2- Conquest money is $1,000 if a person in the same household owns a Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Acura or Lexus. For instance, your wife is driving a Mercedes, then yes you do get the conquest money. 3- Panoromic sunroof is free of charge until further notice. Most if not all the cars in South Florida have panaromic roof. 4- Dpeck1, more than likely they will keep the $5,000. Without any additional money on the car lease would have been thru the roof. 5- Keep in mind that usually when a new car launches the residuals are set high. Volvo will introduce the 3.2 FWD version of the car though there is no specific date yet.
