Re: How much for a 2008 V8 Demo [lucamay]
by bwu on Thu Jun 18 16:01:07 PDT 2009
$37K seems ok for v8 and only bargan chip would be the 8K to see if dealer can go down even more. We bought 08 v3.2 (MSRP $45,470) for $33.5K in CA two months ago with only 51 miles...

The XC60 package itself is a home run (or very close to one) but the pricing seems too much for what you get. A S80 with the same drive train, and purportedly the company 'flagship', can be had for less. Also the forced (no cost option) sunroof of the U.S. bound factory output and packaging the Dynaudio premium audio with the horrible navigation at close to three grand is clearly is an attempt to dig deep into the pockets of early adopters. I guess this segment is hot enough that this will play for a while.
Re: 2009 XC90 Lease [fazcar]
by vasco on Thu May 28 16:22:12 PDT 2009
I am in process of leasing XC90 with the following details: 09 FWD Premium Versatility Garmin Nav (port installed) RSE Park Assist Bluetooth 15K 48 months $1035 drive off , $590 including TAX (CA) I believe the Cap Value was around $32000 and residual around 12K! but on the other hand since it is the end of the month the dealer is having hard time to get the invoice from Port to bill the car hence the deal in June with the new program might be different? Anyone know what the program and residuals will be in June. I know they are throwing the 5 year maintanence program including the wipers and breaks (which is huge) but the lease side of it might be quite bad??? Any ideas
My Lease deal on a 2009 XC90
by natec18 on Wed May 27 21:44:21 PDT 2009
I just turned in my Wife's 2007 XC90. Lease was up in July. Please let me know if I got a good deal. I thought it was as I already took delivery of vehicle. Just looking for some Validation. Northern California Lease: Dealer made final payment on old lease. 2009 XC90 3.2 36 mos. 12K miles All Wheel Drive Climate Package Metallic Paint Versatility Package Premium Package Bluetooth Ipod/USB Adapter Kit. Installed by Dealer as they did not have a 2009 produced after Mid Nov. 2008 that now has this standard. Money factor - Unknown. can't find it on Paperwork. Am I able to calculate this. Residual - Unknown. If my calculation is right it's around 44% (I took residual value of 17382.30 and divided by cost of vehicle, 31000) Total out of pocket up front $1415 ($300 cap reduction, sales tax on cap reduction of 26.28, 1st month's payment, DMV reg fee of 445.00 dmv electronic filing fee of 82.75 and some upfront sales tax fee of 3.94) $511.92/mon $44.79 CA Tax $556.71/mo. Total. Based on all the research I did on this forum, I think I got a good deal with all things considered. The lease on the 2007 XC90 I turned in was 499.00 a month plus tax, The only downside is I didn't have any drive off when I took delivery of it. The cars are identical. Just shows you how bad things the residuals have become.
Re: good price for a demo 2009? or new 2008? [ftjmackey]
by bwu on Thu May 07 23:08:05 PDT 2009
It sounds a fair deal. We bought 2008 AWD xc90 in early April at $33,500 +TTL with premium, climate, verstality, blind spot, and only 51 miles on the car. Bob in CA
Looking to lease a Volvo 2009 V50
by ukgirl on Sat Mar 07 16:53:02 PST 2009
Do any of you know what a good deal is on a 2009 V50, with a sticker price of around $30,000? We looked at the base model today and the dealer offered us a lease of $1,000 down (including 1st month payment, tax, license etc) and $390 per month including tax for 3 years, 12,000 miles a year. Does anyone know if this is a good deal or if I can negotiate less?? The residual at the end of the lease is $12,000. Thank you. ps. we live in Southern CA.
