lease question
by jasonshaver on Mon Jun 29 12:07:45 PDT 2009
After reviewing some information, I left a BMW dealership with some numbers that I wanted to run by someone to see if it sounded right. Below is the information. MSRP 34475 (128i metallic paint and premium pkg only) purchase price 33440 aquisition fee 925 Residual 59% at 36 months for 12K yr money factor .00255 Lease Rebate Cash 750 Trade in value(paid for) 4500 NC tax 3% And the dealer quoted me 410.xx a month, using only the 4500 down with the first payment included in that, no other out of pocket. Does that sound right? Any input greated appreciated!

JMCBMW - How did you get them to counter you? My last call which was 2.5 months prior to lease end, they said, BMW FS does not negotiate residual values. I am not three weeks left on a 2007 BMW 530i - and want to figure out how to do. How did you ask the question? The dealer has NO incentive to work in your favor. If the car is in good shape, low miles, etc., he would rather buy from BMW FS at auction rate since they get first shot, then certify and make a quick $5000+.

based on your number, the monthly payment for a X5 3.0 with MSRP of $50,375 should be $683. How come the BMW usa website has an offer for $599. see this http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Content/FinancialServices/LeaseOfferDetail.aspx?e- nc=YzdojlNoJgtAAlV9XOcZbg== Please enlighten me.
2008 335i purchase

Any idea what kind of price they're doing for 08 335 right now? Trying to find an 07 CPO, but thought with the financing difference, might work out to get a new 08 335 with lower interest rate. Any idea how much they're willing to come off the 2008s?

I cannot find a link to the story but saw it on CNN either 2 or 3 weeks ago where they did a story in conjunction w/ Mercedes about looking for land to house all their cars. Mercedes looking in CA. BMW said to have bought either in NC or SC (where they have the manufacturing plant and Charleston is the largest port for BMW NA). I wouldn't expect BMW to put out a release saying that they'd bought the land as it would be a major red flag re: inventory.
